I am a long time DBZ fan and I've owned and played every game from Budokai 1 to BT3 and I have to say I'm really disappointed. I just don't get it. Next-gen Budokai Tenkaichi with great new graphics, huge arenas, and SSJ3 Vegeta.... this should've been a shoe-in for my personal GOTY.

I was at Gamestop yesterday and after buying Modern Warfare 2 I impulsively decided to get Raging Blast as well, seeing as though it was only $40. I had been following the game since it was announced and after losing the BT3 disk, I thought this would be the perfect solution. Plus, a bunch of the guys in my dorm were all on board getting it cause of nostalgia and thought it would be a fun fighting game to play around in the dorms.

So we popped it in and played it and wow. Seriously, half of the things that made BT3 a fun, fast-paced fighting game are absent from this. The controls feel awkward (why can't I double tap LB and LT to dash up/down like in BT3? Why is down on the d-pad power up?) and the camera makes playing almost any level except the city or world tournament level an absolute pain. Not to mention half of the entire character roster is gone from BT3. Seventy characters - gone. The only redeeming thing about this game are the special moves (but even then they only look good, it doesnt make the game any more fun to play) and the loading screen game (which is actually fun to do for some reason). In every other aspect you are better off with BT3.

Seriously, it boggles my mind. This game looked so good in the trailers and previews, like the next-gen BT3, but they dumbed down the controls and made fighting reminiscent to BT1. I mean I got bad vibes when the lip syncing was painfully horrendous and the two "exclusive characters" are pre-existing characters with long hair grafted on,
